Student African American Brotherhood

Welcome to SAAB
National Headquarters!

Student African American Brotherhood (SAAB) increases the number of African American and Latino men graduating from college by creating a positive peer community based on a spirit of caring. SAAB operates through student run chapters on college and high school campuses throughout the nation. SAAB members excel academically, socially, culturally, spiritually and in service to the community.

SAAB has grown to more than 100 chapters across college campuses and high schools throughout the United States and founded in 1990 has reached a critical juncture in its development.

SAAB announces its partnership with the "TIED TO GREATNESS™" The TIED TO GREATNESS™ national outreach program targets at-risk inner city high school males with its self-image improvement effort. With an average of just 35% of inner city males graduating from high school, TIED TO GREATNESS™ uses the power of positive male role models, the influence of fashion, and the symbolism of the necktie as a point of manhood and maturity to remind young men about the importance of personal image, and encourages each participant to make different choices about their futures. Visit the TIED TO GREATNESS™ web site at www.tiedtogreatness.org for more information.

African American Men in CollegeSAAB is cited for its work in the national publication, "African American Men In College."

SAAB Conferences

SAAB offers regional conferences throughout the United States to incorporate the message of empowerment and success to thousands of young men each year. We invite you to join us for one of our conferences both in your area and around the country to meet other like minded young men, professionals, community activists and scholars striving to make a difference in the lives of men of color as well as the community at large.
